Have you ever gotten credit for something and the person giving it to you had no idea that there were others involved? Or maybe even taken credit that was due to someone else? I’ve done this in the past and eventually the Spirit of God convicts me so much I simply can’t stand it any longer.
Paul is sharing in these verses that he has no success in the ministry of God apart from the working of Christ in and through him. He is giving all the credit for his work to Christ.
I’m reminded today that when I am given credit to accomplishing anything in my life, my ministry, or whatever I do, that my success is to be given back to Christ. If any man is to boast. he shall boast in the Lord!
Prayer: Lord, please humble my heart today as as I seek and serve you. Help me to be like Paul and recognize that all I am able to do I can only do in and through you. Amen.
