How Would You Respond?

After showing the video of the starving children of Uganda to Lori and Grayson this afternoon I just had to drop a quick note. (see video here if you missed it)

Lori has been really looking, over the past couple of years, at the option of adoption. She is well informed as to the struggles that go on in the many of the third world countries. She knows which one’s are closed for adoption, open, etc… She spends time looking at the children and praying for God to reveal what He would have for us in this area.

I asked Grayson this afternoon what he would think of us selling all we owned and going over to Uganda and helping the villagers that live there.

His response was priceless… “Well dad,” he said, “I don’t think that would be such a good idea because then we would be the one’s homeless and starving and then they would probably have to help us.”

He makes a good point…

Remember to pray for those outside of this country as they faithfully serve our Lord.

  1. Thank you so much for caring about our children in Uganda! Sam, Esther and Jane are three of more than sixty kids we serve there…providing meals, educational opportunities, medical care and love to children while they live not in an orphanage setting, but with extended family in their home villages. Sam, Esther and Jane are thriving. Our other children, who began their time with us over the last five years fearful, withdrawn and discouraged are happy, silly, brave and normal kids with big dreams!

It means so much not to be alone in this struggle against extreme and bitter poverty. Sometimes it gets overwhelming, but friends like you and Milan Ford give us new strength. Thanks for bearing us on God’s wings of Eagles!

    With his richest blessings,

  2. We are never alone with Christ. Thanks so much for commenting and I will spread the word regarding your ministry.

I really appreciate the updates on the kids and I am sure it is really hard not to be able to bring them all home and take care of them.
