Today I am reminded of the goodness of our Lord. Verse 11 speaks to me today as I am assured that God will give good things to those who seek him. Though difficulties and challenges may come my way, I can rest knowing that God is going to give if I ask, allow me to find if I seek, and always answer my call when I knock.
Mat 7:7-11 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. (8) For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. (9) Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? (10) Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? (11) If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
What are you asking the Lord to provide for in your life today?
- Peace during a challenge?
- Work or financial needs?
- Physical or spiritual healing?
- Mend a difficult relationship?
Whatever it is, God is always there ready to bring the peace, provision, and perseverance you need to get through it. All we need to do is ask…

13 “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask. What I like about this is throughout our day as we have need we can ask and the Father via the Holy Spirit gives us the grace we need for the situation what ever it may be.
