Picking Daisies ~ A Walk of Faith

As a child I remember picking daisies and playing the “he loves me, he loves me not game.” I remember trying to predict the outcome by the number of pedals to be plucked. Somehow it always ended in “he loves me.”

I know He loves me, the Bible tells me so and I believe it. The question I ask today is not, “does God love me,”  but, “do I have enough faith?”

My mind goes like this, faith, little faith, faith, little faith, and so on….

Everytime I fear and find myself tearing apart a flower (in my mind), I remember Gen 22:14. It’s the verse where God called Abraham to lay his son Isaac on the alter as a sacrifice. It’s hard to wrap my mind around that. God says, “Abraham, take your ONLY-SON-WHOM-YOU-LOVE and lay him on the altar.” God understood the gravity of what he was asking Abraham to give up. God knew how difficult it would be for Abraham (and he knows how difficult it will be for us). By faith Abraham obeyed. knowing God would provide.  And God did! Abraham’s faith was tested and he proved faithful in what was no small thing being asked of him. He trusted God not knowing the outcome, but knowing God was able. Hebrews 11:17.

Today I am laying my family, friends,  security, and possesions on the altar. I know God will provide what I need when I need it. He is able!

Today I am choosing to surrender all,
by God’s grace and mercy,
for my good and His glory.

Do you hear Gods voice today calling you to surrender?  Do you trust God will provide?  Do you know that He is able? Faith, little faith, faith, little faith. ..trust and obey and pick faith. God loves you

Blessings,
Lori
