Verse Of The Day:
2Tim 2:21 Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.

Daily Thought:
As a Christian I am to be set apart, keeping myself from things that defile my body, spirit, and mind. Paul tells Timothy that if he cleanses himself from what is dishonorable he can be useful for good works for the master. Are you set apart today?

My Prayer:
Lord, help me to cleanse my heart from the things that keep me from being useful to you. I don’t want any idols in my life and I want to be available to do your good work. Amen

Verse Of The Day:
2Tim 4:5 As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

Today’s Thought:
We all are gifted in many areas. Some are teachers, some musicians, others are great with administration. But what about evangelism? Paul encourages Timothy to be sober minded, endure suffering, and do the work of an evangelist. I think about that calling today and ask myself, “am I doing the work of an evangelist?”

My Prayer:
Lord, today I praise you for the gift of salvation and know that you reach people for your kingdom through people like me. Help me to do the work of an evangelist today.
