Ephesians 2:8-10
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Our salvation comes through faith alone by grace alone. It is a free gift of God through our Savior Jesus Christ. When we try to work for our salvation we nulify grace.
Praise the Lord that we simply need to believe on the lord Jesus Christ and His work on the cross. When we turn from our sin and put our trust in the saving power of the cross, we claim our place in heaven that was prepared long ago for all who believe. We gain access to our eternal home where we will enjoy the pleasures of God forever!
Prayer: Lord, thank you for the gift of salvation. Thank you that I can’t earn it, but you did the work on the cross for me. Forgive me for my sins and cleanse me from my unrighteousness. May I glorify your name all the days of my life… Amen!
